War powers and executive privilege. The current debate in the U.S. Congress presupposes that the war in Libya is one a hostile act,and two a usurpation of Congressional oversight. Either way the legal basis of this act is to enhance the status os American military expansionism and the debate over the question of whether this act by the Executive bench of government will quickly subside as the hand wring of the real issue disappears in the depths of Congressional lack of fortitude. And the Obama administration gladly walks away from the ministration of meaningless debate.
